Comparing writers' methods - review of skills and structures
In this lesson, we will start with a quick quiz. We will then be revisiting our language analysis skills but extending this to focus on a comparative response, looking at our two set non-fiction texts from this week, Albert Pierrepoint’s The Executioner and Mary Seacole’s Wonderful Adventures of Mrs Seacole in Many Lands. We will revisit our strategies for selecting ‘rich’ evidence and look at how to build a comparative response in more detail. You will then slow write an answer, working through the process systematically. At the end of the lesson, you will have an opportunity to review your response against a model answer and then further refine your answer.
