First steps

In this introductory lesson, you will write and execute your first programs in Python. You will go through the basics of displaying messages, assigning values to variables, and receiving input from the keyboard. For this unit, you will need a Repl.it account. You should ask your parent or carer for permission to set one of these up.

Video

Click on the play button to start the video. If your teacher asks you to pause the video and look at the worksheet you should:

  • Click "Close Video"
  • Click "Next" to view the activity

Your video will re-appear on the next page, and will stay paused in the right place.
