Meeting Scrooge

In this lesson, we will be introduced to the central character of 'A Christmas Carol', Mr. Ebenezer Scrooge. We will learn the word 'misanthropic', look at the context of poverty and greed during the industrial revolution, and then read and analyse the introduction of Scrooge in Stave 1.
