Which of these sentences are in the present tense?

How would you say 'he saves' or 'he is saving'?

How would you say 'she has fought for' or 'she fought for'?

How would you say 'we worked hard' or 'we have worked hard'?

The next 7 questions cover some very common words you will need in French in KS4. These words are very important because they give away or subtly change the meaning of a sentence. Select the correct meaning for each word. When you get your score, check your answers and write down any of these words that you didn't know.

Take an -er verb, remove the -er and add the imperfect ending

Take the present tense 'nous' form, remove the -ons and add the imperfect ending

Take the subject, the verb 'avoir' and add a past participle
