To engage with the text and to complete an independent activity

In this lesson, the children will recap the features of a non-fiction text and the vocabulary learnt in this reading unit. They will then have an opportunity to create their own imaginary deep sea fish. Lastly, some non-fiction texts will be recommended for further reading. This lesson uses extracts from 'Project X Origins: Hidden Depths: Exploring the Deep' published by Oxford University Press.
