To express opinions and give reasons for them

In this lesson, children will think about the way the crayons felt in the book and why. They will write the feelings and opinions of the crayons, explaining these using the joining conjunctions 'because' and 'so'. Children will then answer some questions about the character they devised in lesson 6 and think about some opinions their characters might have. For their task, children will write sentences expressing their characters' opinions and feelings and giving reasons for them.
