Meet our 4 Communication and Language teachers

Rebecca Ball
Primary & Specialist Communication and Language
Hello I’m Becky Ball, I am a class teacher at an outstanding special school in Derby City. I teach a class of pupils, many of whom have a diagnosis of autism. They are developing their early communication skills through using key words and phrases. The part I most enjoy about my job is researching and adapting planning to provide the children with creative lessons that engage all of my pupils. I also focus on independence within the classroom, as it is this skill that can have a huge impact on a child’s life. When I’m not in the classroom you can find me on longs walks with my dog Teddy.

The best parts of my job are spending time communicating with pupils and seeing young people be brave enough to push themselves outside their comfort zones to make progress!
