Secondary Chemistry, Biology, Science, Physics

I’m a secondary school Science teacher and form tutor. I’ve been a teacher for 2 years, working with students aged 11-15 years old. The part of my job I enjoy the most has to be practical lessons. Most of my spare time is spent walking my dog, reading crime novels and watching space/animal documentaries.

Secondary Biology

I’m Faculty Leader for science at a secondary school in Swindon – I’m a biology specialist but I enjoy teaching all three sciences to my classes. After I finished my PhD I got involved with outreach at the University where I worked and this is when I discovered that I loved trying to get other people as enthusiastic about science as I am! A few years later I decided to retrain as a teacher and I’ve never regretted it. When I’m not in school I like to be out and about either walking with my two greyhounds or riding my horse.

Secondary Chemistry, Biology

I am a Zoology graduate and have been teaching science for 5 years. Although I love teaching all three sciences, I find Biology particularly fascinating, especially anything genetics or animal-related. In my spare time I enjoy rowing, baking, walking my gorgeous dog Darcy and watching Sci-Fi films!

Secondary Biology, Physics

I am a secondary school biology teacher and a self-confessed science nerd! I studied biomedical science at Durham University and it is my goal to make my students love science as much as I do. I have made it my mission to ensure disadvantaged students have the same quality of education and support as their peers, with the ultimate aim of encouraging more children from poor socioeconomic backgrounds into STEM careers.

Secondary Biology, Science

I am a secondary science teacher living and working in London but have previously worked as a care assistant in a nursing home and on hospital wards. After I graduated from Newcastle university with a degree in Biomedical Sciences at I began my teaching career, with roles in KS3 Science and managing the Duke of Edinburgh award. I love showing students all the great opportunities that a career in science can lead to! Outside of school, I enjoy running, both playing and watching football (mostly at Brentford’s stadium) and traveling. My recent trips have taken me to Morocco, Malaysia and Ireland.

Secondary Biology, Combined Science

I am currently a head of science of a school located in London. I studied at the University for Hong Kong and then I pursued a Master’s degree at the University of Exeter. I moved to the UK six years ago and I have been teaching for five years now. I enjoy every minute of teaching and becoming a teacher is the best decision I have ever made. When I am not teaching, I enjoy going to the gym, photography and propagating succulents. I have so many succulent plants that I have lost count!

Jake Wyatt

Secondary Biology

Hi! I’m Jake, I have been a science teacher in London for the past two years. I used to work at Great Ormond Street Hospital, which was a very rewarding job, but teaching is even better! Teaching science is great because it is 3 subjects in 1, there is always something else to learn - my favourite topic is DNA! Before/after school you can find me doing various sports including cycling, climbing and squash. I also enjoy cooking and baking when I have time.
